This has entailed from inception to construction. Windfarm Schemes  (Photos)

Mary Henry Archaeological Services Ltd. has gained a wide array of experience from working in the Windfarm Industry since 2000. We have been involved in the delivery of the various stages of windfarm projects throughout both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, from the far reaches of County Antrim across to Donegal to south Kerry and plains of Tipperary. We have worked extensively with the design teams and planning consultants in compiling of the Archaeological & Cultural Heritage Impact Assessments for Environmental Impact Statements 

Where projects have been successfully awarded full planning permission the Company has continued the partnership with the Design Teams and/or the Client to bring projects to on-site completion. Services provided include pre-construction archaeological testing, monitoring of ground works and resolution of archaeological sites in the course of monitoring as well as reporting on the findings from the above. 

Due to windfarm locations Mary Henry Archaeological Services Ltd. has worked in a wide range of terrains including low-lying and upland bog, forest, mountain expanses, rough pasture, high-lying pasture fields, areas of common grazing and coastal plains. Through this experience, we are aware of the special challenges and dynamics regarding the construction of these projects. Such terrains provide varied and diverse archaeological landscapes, posing their own challenges.
